About Me

I graduated from UBC Okanagan in 2014 with a bachelors of Human Kinetics and at UBC Vancouver in 2016 with a masters of Occupational Therapy.  I'm genuinely grateful for a career of pursuing a path that allows for creative thinking, compassion, and action while connecting with others.

I believe that our physical health, mental health and spirit need to be in balance and harmony to thrive.  My client-centered, and ever-evolving approach stems from understanding that each person comes to the table with their own set of unique gifts, belief systems. I honor one's culture and uniqueness throughout the therapeutic relationship.

My practice is based around mental health and I am passionate about finding creative solutions to meet each individual person where they're at.  I use occupations and psychotherapy to support those experiencing PTSD, anxiety, and depression in their recovery.  I offer a safe space for clients to learn about themselves and how to best cope and self-manage.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors - being active with snowboarding, hiking, paddle boarding, and simply being in nature.  I enjoy quiet activities that expresses my creative outlet and understand the importance of being, and not always doing.  Meditation, positive affirmations, listening to intuition and the body are strategies I embody to work towards living a grounded and present life.

What is occupational therapy?

  • The word "occupation" was intended to mean "the things we do in order to live. " These meaningful activities vary for each individual as we are complex beings who are composed of physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual components.

  • Occupational therapists recognize that health is supported and maintained when clients are able to engage in home, school, workplace, and community life.

  • We look at optimizing function in activities we engage in every day:

    • Self care – getting dressed, eating, moving about in the house

    • Leisure activities – social activities, sports, gardening

    • Being productive – going to school/work and engaging in the community
